Common questions
Can I keep my existing clients?
Yes. Your existing clients are yours. Lukas gives you a personal booking link to share with them directly — they book with you through Lukas, and you stop paying platform fees to anyone else on those bookings.
Do I have to stop using other platforms?
No. Most providers start by using Lukas for existing clients while continuing to use other platforms for new client discovery. Over time, as your Lukas profile gets found organically, many providers naturally shift more of their business to Lukas. There's no requirement to be exclusive.
What's the catch?
No catch. $0/month for solo providers. A 10% Lukas platform fee on payments processed through Lukas. When you find a new client through the Lukas marketplace, we take 20% of their first booking only — after that, they're yours at the standard 10%.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
It happens. If you have to cancel a confirmed booking, Lukas Pet Care steps in to cover it at the same rate your client was already paying. Your client is taken care of. When you're back, your client relationship picks up where it left off. We don't use coverage situations to build our own client base.
What do I need to join?
If you have an active profile on a verified pet care platform — just share your booking link and you're verified. We skip the background check because you were already vetted. If you're starting fresh, we run a quick background check through Checkr and ask for proof of pet-sitting liability insurance. Either way, you can be live on Lukas within 24 hours.
Is there a contract?
No contracts. No lock-in. Your client data is always yours — export it anytime. Cancel whenever you want.
